Tea Time

Elliot and Sapphira requested tea time on the deck (Sapphira was especially pushy about it). I agreed. Good thing because it made for some cute pictures.

Elliot prepares the tea while Sapphira shows me her lioness impression. It was a bit more squealy than a real lioness but it was still a good impression.

Elliot counters with his monkey impression which is nothing like a monkey but still a good monkey impression.

Sapphira chats with Elliot while he concentrates on his tea cup.

Then I become much too paranoid to leave her sitting in a chair with no straps. Elliot disapproves.

Sapphira uses her magic and changes the flowers from black and white to color.

Elliot gets jealous and turns his cup into the Holy Grail.

And then turns the whole tea set.

Sapphira isn't impressed.

Upset, Elliot leaves the table to head to the land of color and to blow bubbles.

Sapphira decides to follow him so she can monitor the situation.

Elliot blows bubbles for Sapphira.

Sapphira approves!

Sapphira the troublemaker

She might look sweet but looks can be deceiving.

Stalking (again)...

Attempted robbery...

Train theft...

Reckless driving...

Menacing looks...

Trying to look innocent...

Faces

Elliot likes to make faces for the camera.

While Elliot was busy making faces, Sapphira was practicing too.

Assortment

Some of my favorite pictures from the last week or two...funny, entertaining, cute or weird.

Hilter-Dan

Taking a peek from behind the exciting plastic bag.

Worried about the "waves" getting him at the river.

Drawing in the sand on the Columbia.

And this one is my favorite picture! I just find it hilarious.

Elliot's First Stalker

She likes to stare at him whenever she can. Most of the time just seeing him makes her smile and smile. In the car she stares at him, while he plays she stares at him, and she's even nice enough to cry whenever he cries. And like any good stalker, she just likes to be near him.

Luckily he doesn't seem to mind too much (most of the time).

This girl likes her brother A LOT. He's still kind of scared of her but lately he's been warming up to her. He is getting so he is ok with her being near him for longer than 2 seconds. She's pretty scary.

One of the many things I like about Sapphira is her manic intensity. While she is very smiley and loves to laugh, she has a lot of fire to her. She often surprises us with how well she seems to know what she wants. She doesn't cry. She doesn't need to. She has array of other sounds that communicate her desires and very effectively too. Nearly 5 months old and not too far from taking over the world.

To Do

I never imagined my 3-year old would make a daily To Do list.

He picks what he wants to write and he has us help him with the words he can't spell. He has me write the date for him. He loves being able to put a check mark on the completed items. Most days he completes every item on the list.

Elliot found a Santa hat his Grandma Hall made for him a couple years ago and he shouted, "Mama! A night cap!!" I didn't even know he knew what one was. He wears it to bed frequently.

Sapphira...I wish pictures did her sweetness justice. She is such a friendly, energetic, content girl. She's nearly 5 months old already.
