Best Read of the Summer

Sapphira wrote her first book today. She was very decisive about the fact that she needed to write one. She wouldn't let me help her except to write the words needed (and even then she was rather hesitant about allowing me to help). She wouldn't allow me to touch anything in the slightest and she came up with exactly what her book should say. She took the matter of writing her book very, very seriously. The pictures are hard to read but this is the story she has to tell and I must say that it really matches her.

"My Favorite Book" by Sapphira Moon Nighting

"Don't take my tent."
The picture was her unsure attempt at drawing a tent.

"Don't take all of my stuff."
The picture is of a balloon and she was pretty proud of it.

"Don't take my candy cane."
The picture on the left is of a candy cane.
The picture on the left is of a ghost wearing glasses and he's looking for food....bird food, because ghosts eat bird food. She's quite sure of it.

"Don't!"
At this point she decided glueing pieces of paper to the paper was the best idea. She had no assistance whatsoever as she repeatedly said, "Don't help me! Don't help me! I'm doing this all by myself. Don't help me!"

"Stop!"

"Go away!"

"Ding! Ding! Ding!"

The End.

Ballet

Elliot loves ballet. He recently finished up his second class of ballet (he'll be starting another one next month). We were lucky enough to be able to go watch his class on the last day. The cuteness of him doing ballet doesn't properly show up in these pictures.  He's the only boy in his class of 10 and one of the best dancers there. He did such a great job!

Sneaky look.
